This is the prop from Dornier 17Z 9/KG76 which was shot down by Sergeant Tyrer of 46 Squadron, Pilot Officer Mortimer and Flight Lieutenant Brothers of 257 Squadron in combat over London. The Dornier crashed at Underriver, near Sevenoaks, Kent at 12.30pm, on the 15th September 1940 (Battle of Britain day). Propeller blade clearly shows the bullet holes from that final engagement.
