Steady Boy, a painting of Spitfire P9372

92 Squadron, based at: Pembrey, Northolt, Hornchurch and Biggin Hill, all in 1940.

This is a painting of Spitfire P9372 returning from a patrol over Southern England during May 1940, with Pilot Officer Bartley at the controls. I recovered this Spitfire in 1990 and painted this scene to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Battle of Britain.
